Dec 2007: The Wardsville Community Centre is currently for sale, and many members of the community don’t want to see her in private hands, turned into apartments or worse. So we’re banding together to purchase this “Grand old Dame” and put her to use in the community. Located on the main drag of Wardsville (Highway 2), she’s physically in the centre of the community, and is central in the minds, hearts, and memories of the people in the community.
There’s lots that you can do to help, so please pause for a moment and look through these pages. The first and most important step in this process is to purchase the building so that we can start working with it. The article outlines our plan for how to accomplish this feat.
