2nd Prize: IPM 2010 Quilt Competition

The George Ward Commemorative Fabric quilt just won second prize at the International Plowing Match 2010 Quilt Competition.

Denise Corneil, is standing with the George Ward Commemorative Quilt that received second place at the 2010 International Plowing Match Quilt Show. The 30 unique and individual quilt blocks all symbolize a chapter of George Wards life, his involvement with the War of 1812 and his homesteading Wardvsille. Each quilt block will be replicated in a painted 8’X 8’ square. The “Barn Quilt” blocks will be raised on local barns, churches, gardens in the Wardsville area creating a “Barn Quilt Trail”
